It was worth so much effort and work because I finally got the big day. The Material Girl clothing line, which runs on account of Madonna and her thirteen years old daughter, Lourdes, just going on sale in U.S. stores Macys. Already there are hundreds of onlookers who have come there to take a look. We put it a little easier and I left some pictures of the most exclusive models.
We can add color and texture to such painstaking work of mother and daughter who both has been the talk in recent months. It is well known to all that the 'Queen of Pop' and his daughter, nicknamed Lola, have been working side by side during all this time to get ahead in her Material Girl.
And finally, it became official launch of the Material Girl clothing line on 3 August in the U.S. Macys stores. Just announce it, hundreds of onlookers lined the gates of the facility to take the first glimpses of hands and grab the odd bargain.
Lourdes, better known as Lola, has written on the official website of the firm, "Okay, let me just say, not to brag or anything, but is simply incredible and I love all the clothes a lot."
"I'm not the designer, but my mother and I were inspired and created the style and sets, respecting fashion," added the daughter of Madonna. Material Girl will only be sold in stores Macys.

Trade online with fashion
Currently the market for e-commerce (Internet shopping) in Colombia, has gradually become one of the alternatives available to them Colombians to save in times of crisis.
For the fashion industry this may be a new option for independent designers and brands that are seeking non-traditional channels to market for their creations. The virtual stores for several years have already positioned in developed countries as an alternative for buyers to purchase items of all kinds, and receive them easily in the comfort of their homes. In Colombia, young designers have found on the Internet, a natural channel to offer their creations. Through blogs and pages created on sites like Facebook or MySpace, designers publish pictures of their products and make use of social networks to reach even more potential buyers would gladly refer their friends the latest discovery regarding fashion is concerned, obtaining with this customer to expand its market to people who might never have had access to their proposals.
Through these pages designers contact with their "fans", and may even develop unique designs to their request, which fits perfectly with the trend of customizing styles already deeply rooted in the youth of the world and of course also from Colombia.
But this mechanism has proven to be somewhat effective and some positive results, is not really the business model currently operating in the world. Great brands have understood for years the reality of the web as the undeniable future to get closer and closer to what their customers want, but not only the products they sell, but of those who sell them, ie of trademarks. There is no way in furtherance of the wishes of consumers as the Internet can do. Because it is feasible to track virtually every click, you can learn what works and does not within a range of products, promotional clothing and advertising has attracted more attention, all in the same time that consumers are visiting the website.
But for the major brands in the world this has been a process of years of trial and error, enabling them to finally understand very well the business model, where some keys have been offering products on exclusive offers, or personalized services such as creation by the consumer of the garment with which to carry, and often paying a higher cost, contrary to what has always been said of the Internet as a sales channel in which one can offer promotions.
But on the other side are the on-line multi-brand stores, which offer products of various designs or marks (www.urbanoutfitters.com, www.yoox.com, www.twostoned.co.uk), which offer a wide variety of products in a single space.
virtual stores, and brands will represent over 20% of its sales, and in some cases such as Victoria Secret that practically sells more by this means that in its more than 1000 stores in the U.S.
But even if you can believe that this sales channel only works optimally in the first world countries, here in Latin America, we see that things are moving strongly in countries such as Brazil (U.S. $ 3,000 million in 2008), Argentina (U.S. $ 1,000 million in 2008) and Chile (U.S. $ 300 million in 2007) and that the consumer really understands that issues like security really are even more critical in a traditional shopping channel. This of course if you have a reliable site where "pass card". As in Colombia there are already companies that specialize in this type of Non-payments, which are already using supermarkets and brand with a website and want to provide security to its customers.
But in Colombia it is necessary to start building this culture of consumption online, by joining forces. So the model of multi-brand online shops, young designers will be mixed with brands that best fits our market. The consumer may receive a more reliable space to find the brands you know and proposals from independent designers on one stage, forming an eclectic mix that lets you customize your style with the best of the "two worlds". All this must be backed by a serious logistic distribution, which users can even know that part of the delivery process is an order, how long will take to get, and customer service ready to solve any doubt real time.
If the future of Internet commerce is already present in other countries around the world and Latin America, Colombia must start the process, enabling it to get out of that lethargy without just cause which is, but with business models that seek to generate value to the experience, independent of the fact the practicality of the environment and the simple exhibition of photographs. The e-commerce can not be the same to sell USB's and phones that sell fashion.
Trends 2010: Songs of the siren
It never fails: if there is a trend that, alongside the creations of romantic princess style, is repeated year after year in wedding dresses, this is a mermaid line. Ultradesign to the hip or knee, where the slope takes flight and tail, the line to claim siren is perfect curves, tracing the outline of classical Spanish guitar. Perhaps that explains why many designers spectacular finish off these dresses with layers of ruffles and low cut on the bias, which accompany every step of the bride, or that such court is a favorite for the sexiest actresses of the moment, as Eve Longoria and Eva Mendes, when treading the red carpet. Fancy 'dive' on this trend, straddling flamenco folklore, fairy magic and glamour of Hollywood stars? Do not miss the image gallery.

Fashion: Advance or response?
As art, fashion responded to a latent need, or when there is an exceptional talent, anticipated the spirit of the upcoming season.
In 1914, when despite the war women were wrapped in sophisticated meters and meters of lace with the stamp of Worth, an unknown designer hats, Coco Chanel, he designed a new woman, free movement, with shorter skirts bags inspired by the seafaring clothes, high-necked sweaters and fabrics that are then considered rustic "style will poor people" seduced the world.
Second World War when the line was dominant austere, quasi-military, with large shoulder pads and Zapatón with thick cork soles, Dior perceived need for luxury, refinement, and responds with its new look: highly bound waists, long skirts and wide much satin and velvet, shoes with big buckles strass. It was not a revolution, but a brilliant response.
Today, fashion reflects the uncertainty of our entire culture. The jean universalizes and depersonalized in equal measure. And in the absence of a line that defines the trend of the times, the designers blended ancient hippie naiveté proposals ethnic and shoes online in 1930 and camperones leather shorts. As a result, people no longer looking for prestige in a personal style: simply buying brand.
It is possible that a creator is still unknown and an emerging synthesis that defines the era. Meanwhile, those who admire pure lines and bold color or design, were more yellow and a violet sari Hindu or the simplicity of Chinese clothing lines, closed at the neck and with a clever pit side. Well, after all, Paris and Rome and even the nostalgic New York and Woody Allen are part of the past. And the emerging empires are the oldest: India and China.

Fashion Week Milan
Speaking of Milan supposed glamour, exclusive of the great names on the catwalk. Speaking of Milan is fashionable to talk in capital letters. And it is the gateway to Italy for a few days to meet some of the best designers in the world to increase the value of trends in the coming months to women wearing more distinguished and privileged.
From Prada to Gucci, from Armani to Dolce & Gabbana, Ferragamo for a Moschino, Alberta Ferretti from Etro, by Cavalli, which has the note of controversy in the Fashion Week in refusing to present its newest collection, the Just Cavalli “by the crisis?"
Therefore, the Italian designer has presented a collection that avoids romantic and believes in a woman hard and combative warrior capable of overcoming the bad times. Cavalli said goodbye to his fantasies of color and vaporous clothes and dresses and jackets replaced by short, straight lines, dark, leather, studs, pins and zippers punk style reminiscent of the'80s, but says that has not been inspired by this trend.
But if war had on the Cavalli catwalk, Cristina Ortiz, designer Salvatore Ferragamo, Milan flooded with mystery and seduction, the signing of the house. All possible versions of the red rose to eggplant, went for a walk but not to inspire romantic passion. Full of complicated cutting pliers, shapes and exaggerated shoulder pads only fit for daring women who are not afraid to suggest his body sheathed in long skirts and bodices of tissues veiled transparent organza.
The collection, signed by the Italian designer Veronica Etro, for its part, was composed of ethnic clothing and less sophisticated than usual, taking as inspiration the colors of the Byzantine mosaics. Quirky and unusual combinations of leather and silk, sequins and fringe, dazzled with pants, dresses and coats in which the tones of bronze and gold were the protagonists, in addition to the vaporous tunics in hot colors.
But the explosion of brilliance came with the collection of Frida Giannini for Gucci. Inspired by China Town, the Italian filled garments with sequins and shiny, from cutting men's suits, but with cigarette pants, a dress Cortis through the entire modern dancer style "Fame" or "Flash dance." All in boots that reach the thigh and ends in vertiginous heels.
The signature designs of Emilio Pucci and his new designer, the young Norwegian Peter Dundas, excited to Princess Mette Marit, who was in the front row, thanks to the "micro-dress and boots with high heels, which give a strong and aggressive women.
Meanwhile, the designer Rossella jardinier played for the house Moschino, with shapes and colors for her new collection. Originality also not lacking in a parade in which they could see huge red flowers, millions of remnants of fabric, ties and exaggerated ruffles and meters and meters of organza.
One of the most awaited moments of the Milan Fashion Week came from the hand of Giorgio Armani, who played with the gray tones and light fabrics in its proposals for a woman "Porcelain" that goes to the street chic additions : Gilda type gloves and hat.
For its part, invested in Dolce & Gabbana fall-winter line inspired opera with some stamping reminiscent of Baroque paintings. Tutús, bodices, dresses adorned with ribbons, braids and miniskirts in the form of umbrellas that could have the glory Meninas by Velazquez completed a collection that took as its guest of emergency in the front row for the new signature image, the actress Scarlett Johansson.

Style and Personality
"The distinction is that which places the human person over the vulgariad and within the manor." Ricardo Yepes
Until recently, the journalist Leticia Ortiz was a presenter more who met every afternoon to work the news in one of the shackles of Spanish TV. Now, this simple and elegant woman of 31 years will be the future Queen of Spain and is married with prícipe Felipe.
Given this choice, many people will make such questions as: What was the Prince in it, to make such an important decision? Is it her beauty?, Their professionalism, "Or maybe the poise and sincerity in the eyes? What did Prince see in a career that, to some extent, an ordinary woman, a princess?
I think, responding to these questions a bit, that first impressions counted. And that, in terms of impressions, there are no second chances. She said, "The image is the first thing you see of us and therefore must be careful." This implies further fashion, hair care, have good taste in dress.
Leticia, then, believes that we must take care of the picture and just see it, one realizes that she respects their opinions. But this is not the only provision that follows the future princess, she said that "a person goes through it looking nice, the tone of voice, the poise to express themselves."
Both factors mentioned, as I see it defines a woman, a person. Why is that while fashion accessory that brings maximum benefit to the body shape, personality reveals the interiority of the soul; fashion Announces a status and lifestyle, personality, maturity has been achieved and characteristic of the self .. Fashion wears a personality to what is in the background. If the fund is rich in values, life inside, constructive thinking, the dress will beautify what is inside, which cannot be seen, but only in the attitudes and dense in the eyes.
I venture to think that this was what he saw Prince Philip in Leticia, a unit of life that is revealed in the clothes and earns the trust of others through the eyes.(By Sheila Morataya)

IMPORTANCE OF GOOD CLOTHING
First impressions are apt to be permanent; it is therefore of importance that they should be favourable. The dress of an individual is that circumstance from which you first form your opinion of him. It is even more prominent than manner, It is indeed the only thing which is remarked in a casual encounter, or during the first interview. It, therefore, should be the first care.
What style is to our thoughts, dress is to our persons. It may supply the place of more solid qualities, and without it the most solid are of little avail. Numbers have owed their elevation to their attention to the toilet. Place, fortune, marriage have all been lost by neglecting it.
Your dress should always be consistent with your age and your natural exterior. That which looks outr, on one man, will be agreeable on another. As success in this respect depends almost entirely upon particular circumstances and personal peculiarities, it is impossible to give general directions of much importance. We can only point out the field for study and research; it belongs to each one's own genius and industry to deduce the results. However ugly you may be, rest assured that there is some style of habiliment which will make you passable.
If, for example, you have a stain upon your cheek which rivals in brilliancy the best Chateau-Margout; or, are afflicted with a nose whose lustre dims the ruby, you may employ such hues of dress, that the eye, instead of being shocked by the strangeness of the defect, will be charmed by the graceful harmony of the colours. Every one cannot indeed be an Adonis, but it is his own fault if he is an Esop.
Almost every defect of face may be concealed by a judicious use and arrangement of hair. Take care, however, that your hair be not of one colour and your whiskers of another; and let your wig be large enough to cover the whole of your red or white hair. It is evident, therefore, that though a man may be ugly, there is no necessity for his being shocking.

Lace Time : Hannah MacGibbon's pretty little geometric lace dress, worn with flat sandals and a chain-strap bag.
Hannah MacGibbon, the new creative director of Chloé, is playing with such Seventies and Eighties elements as guipure lace, linen and polkadots, which she says should be worn with a "relaxed and easy spirit." Here, her pretty little geometric lace dress, worn with flat sandals and a chain-strap bag.
New Day At Chloé
PARIS — "It's a fresh start," declares Hannah MacGibbon, the new creative director at Chloé, as she unveils her first effort for the Paris house — a tongue-in-cheek take on couture clichés for pre-spring. "I wanted to do something simple to clean the palate," adds MacGibbon, a striking blonde dressed in an army green tunic and shorts, her waist encircled with a gladiator-style Azzedine Alaïa belt, her feet lashed into flat sandals. "There's more pureness in the lines."
MacGibbon, who succeeded Paulo Melim Andersson at the design helm last spring, hardly needs to get acclimated to the brand: She worked under Phoebe Philo for five years and helped set Chloé's winning hip-yet-girlish template. Most recently, she consulted for Chloé as creative director of its signature perfume, launched with its licensing partner Coty Prestige, and worked on other projects for the brand, part of Compagnie Financière Richemont.
"My heart has always remained at Chloé," she told WWD in an exclusive interview in her spare, sun-drenched office, a fur jacket perched over her swivel chair for when the air-conditioning gets too intense. She gave few specifics about what she might do for her runway debut in October, saying she would likely "perfect, exaggerate and play with" the essence of the pre-collection. Still, she's adamant about her preferences, declaring a penchant for "authentic" fabrics like cotton and linen and a desire to introduce more tailoring for women — worn in an offhand way that has long been a Chloé hallmark. And while she's clearly out to reclaim the house's reputation for easy-to-wear pieces, she says she's not beholden to the Philo era, when Chloé catapulted to fashion's big leagues. "What we did in the past was such a moment in fashion," she says. "I think fashion has also changed so much since that period."
For cruise, MacGibbon plays with what she called "Seventies and Eighties clichés," parlaying guipure lace, polkadots and stiff linen into new takes on ensemble dressing. "It's important that it's worn with a relaxed and easy spirit," she says showing off her "buttercup scallop dress" and suggesting flat suede sandals as a counterbalance. Key looks include a cocoon coat in a stylized animal print, scallop-edged jackets and skirts and a variety of shirts and blouses with full sleeves. Meanwhile, handbags consist of glossy, retro-look clutches and square-frame bags with chain handles.Miles Socha - wwd.com

School and the Fashion Industry
Getting High with the Lures of School and the Fashion Industry
Through the years, more and more people have shown a great deal of interest in venturing into the fashion industry. Its popularity may be attributed in part to success stories of famous fashion designers the world over, like Tommy Hilfiger's.
It was told that Hilfiger drove to New York, bought trendy clothes, and sold them to his townspeople for a huge amount of profit. This story is very inspiring, knowing that Hilfiger is now one of the most expensive and sought after brands out there. However, not everyone who is interested in the fashion world was born with a sharp business knowledge and outstanding fashion sense like Hilfiger's.
Here is where education makes the difference.
With this rising interest of people in the fashion industry comes a rise in the competition, but then, so as with opportunities. It is getting easier to enter a fashion school and obtain a degree – may it be in fashion design, fashion merchandising, or fashion marketing.
These industries may focus on various aspects of the fashion industry, but they do overlap in numerous ways, including the need for knowledgeable instructors in the chosen industry. The competition may be stiff, but if you will be educated and trained in the proper way, you are sure to get an edge in the competitive fashion world.
First of all, you must determine which field you want to specialize in. As enumerated, the three - fashion design, fashion marketing, and fashion merchandising – are the top choices as far as the best opportunities in a fashion career is concerned.
Here are some of the basic information about each:
Fashion Design. If you are a fashion designer, you are considered as the artist of the fashion industry. You are expected to be a highly creative individual who has the eye for an array of colors, lines and textures and has a good sense of style.
As easy as it may seem, a fashion designer's job does not start and end in bringing visions into paper and doing sketches of masterpieces. Based on the final sketch, a designer must still sort through different textures and materials, and then predict how it will fit a fashion model or consumer's body. Once the material has been chosen, the pattern must be cut from the textile, and finally, sewn together. After numerous considerations, it is only then that the "vision" or final product will be seen.
Fashion Marketing. This is an aspect of fashion that basically operates behind-the-scenes. If you will become a fashion marketer, you will have to keep yourself side by side with the ever changing consumer purchasing habits and fashion trends; come up with advertising campaigns that will attract the attention and appeal to the tastes of specific types of consumers; and mind the various innovations that are introduced to the field every so often.
The visionary that is in every fashion marketer should foresee what would be successful and interesting to specific groups, as well as making sure that the apparel would be bought. Fashion marketers should be able to link fashion designers and the consumers.
Fashion Merchandising. Fashion merchandisers and marketers go hand-in-hand. Just like marketers, merchandisers must be able to foresee what is going to be the next new trend and style and determine the specific needs of a target consumer group. However, if the marketer is responsible for the advertising stints, a merchandiser actually buys the apparel and presents them to the various boutiques.
If you are going to be a merchandiser, you will aid the consumers in the selection of the right clothes – may it be through proper lighting, presentation, or simply giving valuable suggestions.
There you have it! Do you want to get high with a new career? Find yourself a school and choose the course that is best for you! Submit yourself to the lures of school and the fashion industry.
